Building Blocks.
Improving our Environs.
Our Long Range Facilities Master Plan envisions District campus sites as community assets reflecting our values.
The plan celebrates the scale of our district as the third-largest district in Riverside County and the 23rd largest in the state. Serving nearly 32,000 students across grades TK through 12, equity for all learners is at the forefront of facilities. By building upon recent campus improvements, we continue to bring relevancy to our facilities by providing learners with spaces that match the diversity and rigor of programs offered by Moreno Valley USD. The vision for district-wide improvements to our environment is anchored around the following three big ideas.
Building Block One.
Excellence on Purpose.
We are building our future on the foundation of academic excellence where all students thrive and succeed in innovative and inclusive learning environments.
Our Long Range Facilities Master Plan supports our drive to meet the needs of contemporary learners by aligning with our new values-based Design Guidelines with the six competencies identified in the Portrait of a Graduate:
- Adaptability
- Communication
- Creativity
- Collaboration
- Critical Thinking
- Perseverance
To propel these priorities as our strengths, the Plan integrates strategies to improve our environment as a reflection of our priorities and values.
What’s this about?
The Goals (and their Outcomes) are the “how” in our Strategic Plan. They are the roadmap to measuring the success of the district, and the metrics used to ensure that the vision and mission of the district are met.
Building Block Two.
Enhancing Student Life.
We are building and sustaining innovative learning environments that support collaboration, wellness, and choice, while prioritizing inclusivity to accommodate individual needs and developmental stages.
Our Long Range Facilities Master Plan is tailored to enhance student life by optimizing modern and upgraded indoor and outdoor learning environments that bolster deep learning and innovation alongside social and emotional well-being. To guide our campus modernizations based on priorities, newly revised Design Guidelines provide an inclusive, collaborative approach to facilities planning.
What’s this about?
Our campus transformations will be guided by Design Guidelines. We invite you to learn more about our values-based Design Guidelines for the future.
Building Block Three.
Enhancing Community.
Our Long Range Facilities Master Plan supports readiness for college, career, and life. This is accomplished through modernizations and upgrades that reflect changes in education, technology and safety standards. For each learner to actualize their full potential, we will employ state-of-the-art learning environments where students enjoy and take ownership for their learning, supporting their ability to achieve all of the competencies of the Portrait of a Graduate and positively impact the world.
